ABOUT US
WHAT IS
TEACHERS PLUS?
Teachers Plus is a not-for-profit company and public benefit organisation established in response to the urgent need for systemic solutions to South Africa’s education crisis. It is an initiative of the Polyoak Packaging Group, which firmly believes in the transformative power of education.
Teachers Plus provides scholarships to talented students from under-resourced communities, enabling them to pursue a distance-learning Bachelor of Education degree while participating in a specialised Mathematics teacher training programme. This programme is delivered in partnership with schools dedicated to developing future teachers.
The programme is designed to ensure that students develop a strong conceptual understanding of Mathematics and are equipped with the most effective strategies for teaching it.
THE TEACHERS PLUS VISION
Every Learner has an outstanding Mathematics teacher.
OUR MISSION BEGINS
